Minutes from TCAT Region IV Meeting

Houston ISD Houston, Texas

February 22^nd

·        The meeting was held at the Houston ISD Warehouse Building 2.  Breakfast was provided by Follett Educational Services.  The meeting was called to order at 9:15am by Jill Cook, President.

·        Minutes were distributed and read. Motion to approve minutes from Anne Tweedt, Humble ISD and Sue Hedrick, Spring ISD.

·        Introduce Region IV Board Members and new Coordinators.  The new members need to join TCAT.

·        Discussion about sending Surplus Textbooks that are worn-out and damage to others districts.

·        The Summer Institute for new coordinators usually held in June by TCAT members but due to TASBO summer meeting will interfere with the Summer Institute schedule.

·        The next TCAT meeting maybe held at Spring ISD either April or May.

·        Anne Tweedt presented new PEIMS numbers and MLC codes she submitted to TEA for approval.  Jill Cook will put list on Region 4 Textbook website.

·        Donna from Hayes Software discussed the new Tracking Technology software for tracking classroom media, etc.

·        The publishers will be presenting promptly at 10am – 3pm.

·        Meeting adjourned at 9:40am.
